SYSGO announces the launch of a new ELinOS version for October. ELinOS has been worked over radically and now fully supports the virtualisation platform PikeOS. Thus, it offers a long-term and reliable foundation for the use of Linux in embedded systems and safety-critical applications.

SYSGO opens a new office in Munich to offer a better service to the Southern German customers & companies. The new Key Account Manager Hans-Werner Hartwig is responsible the Embedded Software Sale & Support to Siemens, working from Oberpfaffenhofen office near Munich, since August 1, 2005.

Rheinmetall Defence Electronics (RDE) transfers delivery and certification of the basis software for cargo compartment electronics of Airbus A400 M to SYSGO. Besides the delivery of the operating system the volume of the order includes especially the design of software and documents for the certification of the so-called Loadmaster Control system according to standard DO-178B for safety critical applications.

SYSGO is making the FreeToolbox of the ELinOS product line available as a free download version. This adds another product to the popular embedded Linux development environment ELinOS, giving developers unrestricted access to Linux for embedded systems.

SYSGO and Aonix today announced a cooperation to provide the PERC VM and ObjectAda environments for PikeOS. The implementation makes full use of PikeOS’ multi-OS capabilities, thus allowing real-time Java, Ada and traditional Linux applications to run reliably side by side in different partitions.

Together with its Japanese partner 4Link Systems SYSGO presents a Board Support Package for the i.MX21 processor (Dragonball) from Freescale. In cooperation with Freescale Japan Linux has been ported to the processor and the ADS board has been integrated in the ELinOS Board Support Program. Thus an extensive tool is available for the customers' development of embedded systems under Linux.

At the Embedded World, SYSGO is going to introduce PikeOS, a revolutionary new Operating System concept for industrial applications. In this context SYSGO closed a multi million Euro financing round with Equinet Venture Partners, a Frankfurt-based private equity firm.

The French company AP Embedded Solutions S.A.S. (APES) has been appointed preferred provider of the successful embedded Linux distribution ELinOS for Southern Europe. APES offers all services around the product - from local support to training and custom development.
