SYSGO has appointed Etienne Butery as its new CEO. Etienne joins SYSGO from Sapura Thales Electronics, where he was Managing Director responsible for all operations of the telecommunications specialist for the past 7 years. Prior to that, he was Department Manager at Thales Communication, responsible for the development and implementation of security solutions for IT systems in various industries, including defence, public services and financial services.

SYSGO GmbH is joining forces with the Linux Foundation to actively participate in their Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) project. In this open-source project, renowned automotive manufacturers and suppliers will work alongside hardware and software manufacturers to develop and implement a completely open software stack for the connected car.

In November 2016 SYSGO was certified by DQS GmbH according to the ISO/IEC standard 27001:2013. DQS as independent auditors, confirm that the manufacturer of operating systems and development tools for embedded applications has a comprehensive information security management system (ISMS) at all locations and has implemented secure, documented processes.

On July 1, 2016, the starting signal was given for the project "Basic System Industry 4.0" (BaSys 4.0) funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The aim is to develop an "operating system" for production facilities that supports the efficient changeability of a production process as a central challenge of the fourth industrial revolution. SYSGO appoints OpenSynergy as Value-Added Reseller for its products PikeOS RTOS and Hypervisor, ELinOS Industrial Grade Linux in North Europe. The cooperation started beginning of June 2016 and covers sales, professional services as well as first level support for European customers. Regional Sales Manager Burkhard Jour and Field Application Engineer Robert Pickles are strengthening SYSGO’s presence in the UK. One of the first initiatives of the new team is participation in the Advanced Engineering UK trade fair in Birmingham on the 4th and 5th of November.
