“We are pleased to partner with SYSGO to address the OpenVPX market”, declares Thierry Wastiaux, Vice President at Interface Concept. “We already have common customers, who should benefit from the high level of reliability and performance offered by the combination of our OpenVPX board and PikeOS, one of the most innovative products in the areas of safety and security.”
IC-INT-VPX3a is a 3U OpenVPX Single Board Computer, based on the Intel Core i7 processor (Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge / dual or Quad core) coupled with its chipset and providing up to 8 Gbytes DDR3-1333 with ECC. It offers an unmatched level of I/O bandwidth like PCI Express, GigaEthernet, serial UARTs, and GPIOs for both on-board and off-board functions. The on-board Xilinx Kintex-7 Open FPGA is interfaced with the chipset and the VPX P2 connector via two custom connectors for personality modules which allow to directly link Chipset and FPGA interfaces to the VPX P2 connector or to implement specific functions (storage, graphic, audio…), thus making the IC-INT-VPX3a a perfect response for demanding applications requiring performance, flexibility and reliability. The IC-INT-VPX3a uses the UEFI firmware technology. This Boot Loader, supported by our R&D team, implements all the initializations and optimized PBITs, while ensuring the shortest boot time before launching the UEFI shell or loading the Operating System from storage devices (CD, DVD, HDD, USB…) or network.

About PikeOS
PikeOS is both an RTOS and a hypervisor intended for embedded systems with safety and security requirements. With real-time, virtualization and partitioning it provides all the features needed to build today’s multi-functional and high-integrated devices. The PikeOS architecture creates a foundation for critical systems allowing official approval by the authorities in reference to safety and security standards. PikeOS is the only European software platform for smart devices in the Internet of Things. PikeOS is certifiable to safety standards like DO-178B/C, IEC 61508, EN 50128, IEC 62304 or ISO 26262, is MILS compliant, and is currently involved in various security standard Common Criteria EAL 5/6 certification projects. Recently PikeOS achieved the first EN 50128 SIL 4 certification of the market on a multi-core system.
