Secure Virtualisation for embedded Real-Time Systems
PikeOS is gaining acceptance as a virtualization platform for embedded real-time systems. More and more companies in avionics, automotive, military, security and medical technology are recognising the advantages of secure partitioning for their applications. With complete isolation of all operating systems running together on one hardware platform, PikeOS provides security - functional security for the application and security against hostile attacks or data corruption.
PikeOS was developed with certification standards such as DO-178 B, IEC 61508, EN 50128 and in compliance with MILS requirements in mind. Therefore, the code size is particularly small and easily portable. Most APIs used in industry such as ARINC 653, POSIX, Java, Ada, ITRON, OSEK and of course Linux are already available. In addition, PikeOS provides the perfect basis for porting applications developed with obsolete or no longer available real-time operating systems, so-called "legacy code".
PikeOS has proven to be truly innovative and meets the needs of industry for their future projects. It has been selected as a key technology in the EU JEOPARD, SCARLETT, TECOM and INTERESTED projects. PikeOS is already the technology of choice in current projects of major companies such as Airbus, EADS, Siemens, and Thales, etc.
