SYSGO @ High Integrity Software Conference (HISC) 2024

Events & Webcasts, Avionics & Defense, Security, Space

On October 22, 2024, SYSGO participated in the High Integrity Software Conference (HISC) at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Wales. As one of the leading events focused on Safety and Security in software, HISC offered an incredible opportunity to engage with industry professionals and thought leaders across sectors that require the highest standards of software integrity, such as Aerospace, Defense, and critical infrastructure.

PACE Certifiable Avionics Stack

We were thrilled to showcase our cutting-edge Avionics Graphics Reference Platform. Built on our PikeOS real-time operating system, the platform integrates advanced graphical user interface (GUI) capabilities through PACE VAPS-XT and leverages the VulkanSC graphics driver from CoreAVI. The demo, which ran on the NXP i.MX8QuadMax SoC, demonstrated the future of Avionics displays, emphasizing Safety, Security, and performance - all vital for today’s Aviation standards.

Our demo was met with great enthusiasm from attendees, particularly those working in avionics and embedded systems. Many of them appreciated how seamlessly our solution blends peak graphical performance with certifiability, which is often a challenge in high-integrity environments. The combination of real-time performance and compliance with stringent industry standards sparked meaningful conversations on how this technology could be applied in their own projects.

Shaping the Future of Safety-critical Software

Beyond the booth, our team had the opportunity to attend insightful talks and panel discussions, where industry experts tackled the growing challenges of maintaining Safety and Security in increasingly complex software architectures. As digital systems become more intertwined with every aspect of modern life, the discussions underscored how vital it is for companies like SYSGO to stay at the forefront of innovation. Key themes like the disruption brought by AI and machine learning to verification processes were particularly compelling, reinforcing SYSGO’s commitment to pioneering solutions that adapt to these evolving challenges.

Participating in HISC was not only a platform to demonstrate our Avionics solutions, but also a fantastic chance to network with peers and deepen our understanding of the rapidly changing demands in industries reliant on high-integrity software. The collaborative atmosphere of the conference reminded us how essential events like these are to driving forward Safety-critical software practices and fostering innovation in sectors that touch all of our lives. The feedback we received has been invaluable, and we’re excited to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of high-integrity software.
