Last Thursday – just in parallel to embedded world in Nuremberg – the Bosch Connected World – Internet of Things Conference took place. It was an honour and very interesting for me to participate.
Bosch Connected World is the annual conference on the Internet of Things (IoT) of the Bosch Group and took place on March 15-16, 2017 at STATION-Berlin. Executives, thought leaders, developers, and expert speakers shared their best practices and case studies around IoT-empowered products, services, and solutions. The conference featured three session tracks: inspirational keynotes, a huge IoT exhibition, and four hack challenges. With more than 130 speakers and 80 exhibitors the show pointed out successful implemented IoT solutions.

The "general" statement ‘IoT will change industries, business models, and value chains’ was highlighted by topics like Artificial Intelligence which made a huge progress during the last years.
From my point of view two details were very interesting for SYSGO:
- Automotive industry should and could learn from already achieved results of the avionics industry
- Security is not just an add on – this has to be implemented – end to end as backend and vehicle security
